Kallamo 2.0 · roleplay and long-form writing

Everyone knows
only what reached them.

learnedyou, just now

A local-first studio for roleplay and long-form writing. After every reply, Kallamo writes down what happened, where and when, and who was there to see it. Each character answers only from their own part.

The workspace

Every story gets a workspace with four rooms.

Narrative State · Kallamo’s own engine

Kallamo’s own engine keeps the story straight.

After each roleplay reply, it reads the turn and writes the story down: the scene, the clock, inventories and relationships, and what every character now knows, believes and remembers. The next reply is built from that record, one perspective at a time.

1 · the turn

On the bottom step, where no rain could have reached it, lay a single page torn from a logbook — and the handwriting on it was her grandfather’s.

Knowledge cards

What a character knows about a subject: that it exists, which of its fields, which of its connections.

Facts apart from beliefs

Canonical facts are kept separate from what anyone knows, believes or remembers.

Shared by belonging

Factions share with their members, regions and areas with the people who live there.

Only what lasts

Where someone stands right now stays in the scene. Records are kept for what holds.

The Kallamo Expedition

Join the crew building worlds in Kallamo.

Our server is the camp: writers, game masters, roleplayers and the people who build the app, sharing what they made and deciding where the expedition goes next.

38/ 100 Pathfinders
62 founding places left · the first 100 keep the Pathfinder role
Explorer

Came to talk, play and ask. Every crew member starts here.

Cartographer

Writes and builds worlds, and shares profiles and knowledge bases in the sharing channels.

Forge Master

Builds Kallamo itself: code, issues, tools and test builds.

Pathfinder

One of the first 100 to join. Kept for good, whatever role comes next.

Share a world or a profile, ask how someone connected their local model, test a new build before release. The crew code is short: be kind, share only what you may share, and never post your keys.

Join the expedition

Start with the lighthouse, or walk into the village.

Kallamo 2.0 opens with a chapter to edit and a roleplay to play. Connect a model and the first story is already waiting.
